Bolivian Ambassador on Wageningen Campus at completion internship KLV member on 23 June 2016
In this news item you will find the invitation of Lara Minnaard, KLV-member who participated through her internship in an educational program in Bolivia. >>> Hereby we are proud to invite you to one of our upcoming events. It is the presentation of the study about The impact of the introduction of ICT in Bolivian public schools.
Since October 2015, two young graduates and a current MSc student have been working on the evaluation of the Chaski program. This educational program is an initiative of Ayni Bolivia Nederland Foundation to increase the possibilities of youth coming from underprivileged regions of (rural) Bolivia by means of the introduction of computers and internet on their schools. This program started in the year 2000 and in 2013 the last implementation of hardware has been realized by Ayni.
On Thursday 23 June, the reflection on the result of the program will be presented, during which there is special attention for the influence of the program on education. On this topic an MSc student of Wageningen University is currently doing her internship. The evaluation of the program is important because it gives insight not only in the full history and scale of the program but also on the impact it has had on the 86 schools and over 46.000 students that have been involved in the program.
