Young KLV - Workshop - To do a PhD, pleasure or burden? REGISTRATION CLOSED
To do or not to do a PhD is a critical question for lots of Master and Bachelor students.
What are the basic requirements for a PhD? Where and how can you find the information about PhD positions? What are the selection procedures for the potential PhD candidates? What are the positive and negative aspects of doing a PhD? What will be the next step of a PhD? What is the common career path of a PhD?
In order to help you to make your decision, we invited Prof. dr. Sacco de Vries, professor at WU Agrotechnology & Food Sciences, to give an informative presentation.
|Two current PhD students will give their view on the topic of this evening:|
|Lena Schulte-Uebbing, PhD at WU Environmental Sciences.
Her PhD thesis deals with the environmental effect of nitrogen losses from the food chain, and how the environmental effects of these losses can be reduced through increasing nitrogen use efficiency.
|Jeroen de Vree, PhD at WU Agrotechnology & Food Sciences, Bioprocess Engineering.
His research is part of the project 'Performance of pilot scale outdoor photobioreactors' at AlgaePARC.
